We’ve always posted Taylor Kings’ content on our Instagram page – not with a view to market ourselves, but rather because we’ve always enjoyed what we do and been proud of the projects we’re fortunate enough to work on.
Around a year ago, I fell down the rabbit hole of looking at marketing and writing copy – about ‘must-dos’ and ‘calls to action’, and with that, the tone of our posts started to change.
Looking back at them now, some are OK, some not so much (in my opinion). They feel a bit tacky, and they’ve lost the genuine feel of why we used to post. Concerningly, they also feel quite ‘common’ – is it AI induced? My guess, is probably yes.
If they work, they work, but I really feel it’s time for us to change back to the genuine posts – they have always been professional enough, just not marketing 101 material.
Our clients don’t need tacky and certainly don’t need pushy ‘calls to action’ – they know what they want. They also know what genuine passion looks like and they most certainly understand professionalism, so I think we’ll be just fine.
So, here’s a photo of one of our sites. It’s not perfect; it’s genuine…
